Watch Two Male Lions ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ And ᴋɪʟʟ A Kudu In The Middle Of The Road

Two male lions ᴋɪʟʟed a kudu in the Kruger National Park between a row of cars, and then continued to eat it for about 30 minutes. On the H1 road, which connects Orpen Gate and Satara Camp in the Kruger National Park, two male lions ᴍᴜʀᴅᴇʀed a kudu right in the center of a line of cars.

A British student named Carrie Dunford was able to get multiple images of the lions ᴋɪʟʟing the kudu. Dunford had stopped his vehicle by the side of the road to watch as two lions crossed it, pausing every few meters to mark their territory.

As soon as the lion spotted the kudu standing in the undergrowth, it began stalking it. The kudu tried to run away when it spotted the lion, but it slipped on the tar between the cars. The kudu slipped in the road and was still attempting to get its feet under it when a lion took it from behind, according to Dunford’s article for Africa Geographic.

Once the other lion had it by the throat, there was no escape. The kudu was easily dispatched after both lions got it. The lions nibbled on the carcass for thirty minutes before dragging it into the bushes. The ᴋɪʟʟ had been sudden and unexpected. It was a once-in-a-lifetime sighting for those who were fortunate enough to witness such an opportunistic ʜᴜɴᴛ.

Let’s take a look at this moment in the video below:
