The newest member of Bombardier’s ZEFIRO high-speed train family is the Frecciarossa 1000, also known as V300ZEFIRO or ETR 1000. The fastest train in Europe, the Frecciarossa 1000, can go at up to 400 km/h. For long-distance passenger transit on high-speed lines, it is a cutting-edge design. The interoperability, security, and comfort of the train are its key characteristics.
The on-board signaling equipment of the train complies with the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS), which permits the integration of various national signaling systems and automatic train protection (ATP) systems throughout Europe. All high-speed networks in Europe, including those in Iᴛᴀʟʏ, Fʀᴀɴᴄᴇ, Gᴇʀᴍᴀɴʏ, Sᴘᴀɪɴ, Aᴜsᴛʀɪᴀ, Sᴡɪᴛᴢᴇʀʟᴀɴᴅ, the Nᴇᴛʜᴇʀʟᴀɴᴅs, and Bᴇʟɢɪᴜᴍ, are able to communicate with one another thanks to this.
The train has a variety of ecologically friendly features and advanced energy-saving technology. Light alloys are used to create the train’s furniture and carriage casings, which may be recovered after their useful lifetimes. 95 percent of the train’s components are recyclable, and 85 percent of its materials are renewable.
There are four classes on the Frecciarossa 1000, with a total seating capacity of 485: executive, business, premium, and standard. It has tip-up seats for people with disabilities. The train has comfortable seats with individual lights for each passenger. The railway cars are equipped with on-board monitors and power outlets for laptops. There are food and bar options on board.
